Angela Black

My name is Angela C. Black, I am a Spiritual Healer and Psychic Medium. I utilize various modalities, practices as well as the spiritual teachings of Unity Church Principles to guide others along the path of healing.

My primary mission is to help those seeking messages of comfort, truth and closure. My ability has allowed me the blessing of many opportunities to gently and effectively hold space as God provides me with the discernment and patience of listening well. This awareness allows me the blessing of gently and effectively holding space while easing the pain of emotional and physical wounds.

I have found my spiritual connection with God has helped me to create a safe environment, and a peaceful space of open communication.

Over the years my vision and message for those carrying wounds caused by the loss of a loved one or trauma to the body, mind and spirit, has always been to allow Peace To Rest Within Your Spirit, Because God is Always With You.

This blessing and reminder has guided me to be in practice for over 45 years.

I hold certification in the Mikao Usui Art of Traditional Reiki Ryoho, Japan for 25 years. This certification has enabled me to facilitate healing and the teaching of the Master Ryoho Symbols. I am also a participant in a collective gathering of Remote Viewing per an undisclosed department of our federal government. I am an active member of Unity Naples, Florida and Unity of Yucaipa, California. I hold open and guided meditation, and I am a reader/facilitator at Goddess I Am Spiritual Center in Naples, Florida. I also hold a Cosmetology license in California and Florida. I am the proud owner, operator of the llc angelablackmedium.com.

As a California native and member of the First Nation Tribes of North America I attend gatherings in my home state, but also facilitate local ceremonies and create totems of healing passed down from generations.

My husband and I have enjoyed permanent residence in Naples, Florida since 2012.

Thank you for your consideration.

Michelle Kavulich

I felt literally “drawn” to Unity Naples in 2018 after an awakening to love, not realizing I was at the very beginning of my spiritual awakening. I had no idea, at the time, that walking through those doors would change (and possibly save) my life.

I connected deeply with Rev. Mark Lord’s story and his messages. Through his teachings I was able to transcend generational alcoholism in my family in 2019 and a very dark, dark night of the soul in 2021. Since 2022, I have truly been doing my best to “Live” life as taught in A Course In Miracles, and I have absolutely experienced miracles in my life through my faith in God.

Now, I’m at the point in my healing where it is time to help and inspire others to heal and grow through a deeper connection with God. I hope to help Unity Naples grow and heal by contributing the gifts of healing I received and by becoming a member of The Board of Trustees.

Thank you for your consideration.

Ashley Pennebaker

I am a full-time resident here in Naples. I grew up in Atlanta and lived in Chicago. I am a proud father of three, grandfather of eight, and great grandfather of one.

I built an International Company with customers including Lowes’s, Home Depot and Costco. I have also set up a woodworking studio for former president Jimmy Carter, taught him how to use the tools, and had the privilege of deep one-on-one conversations with him.

I have led a very exciting life. I have been a pilot, Formula 2000 race car team owner and driver, bicycled the 442-mile Natchez Trace, and I have ridden a Harley up and down the Pacific Coast Highway.

I have had the privilege of working on the Unity of Naples Board for 3 years. I have served as the Board’s President for the last year.

We have had some big changes in the last year and I am proud of what we have accomplished. It is exciting to see the growth and the love of this spiritual community.

Thank you for your consideration.

Madeline Meehan

My name is Madeline Meehan. My friends call me Maddie. I am originally from Massachusetts, born and raised. I am reminded at least once a day I still have my New England accent. I lived in Southern N. H. for 9 years before moving to Naples, FL in January 1997. In April 1997 a friend brought me to Unity and I knew I was home. It was what I had been looking for my entire life. I joined the church in November 1997. I was privileged to have 3 years with Jack Kern, our Founding Minister. Unity has changed my life for the better and I am so grateful.

I have always been very active in the church. I was in the original Chaplain Program and served for 10 years. I had to step down due to work conflicts but rejoined the Chaplain Team in November 2023. I was a counter, usher, a member of the Choir for 18 years, a Platform Assistant for 8 Years and have done various office work.My greatest joy was doing Outreach for 12 years. The first 10 was as a volunteer, the last 2 years I was on staff, then I retired a few years ago. The church was well known in the Community because of all the great work that was accomplished by fantastic volunteers and myself serving Avalon Elementary School, Grace Place, Youth Haven and the East Naples Sheriff Department. We did many fundraisers and exceeded our goals each year. Along with a Benefactor, she and I, developed a Weekend Backpack Program which provided nutritious food for students and their families on weekends. The menus were approved by a Registered Dietician. 97 % of Avalon Students are on free/reduced breakfast/lunch. Their last meal was Friday lunch until they returned to school Monday morning for breakfast. The program was a huge success, the children did much better in school. The program was implemented in 12 elementary schools and continued into the Middle Schools.

I am a retired R.N. I worked in various areas of Nursing including Medical/Surgical, primarily Neurological, Rehabilitation and for 10 years in Kidney Dialysis at Lahey Clinic Medical Center outside of Boston.I took Boards and received my American Nurse Nephrology Association Credentials. I loved my job. I learned something new everyday and truly enjoyed working with my patients and gave them the best possible care. All the Nurses rotated running charge position and were responsible for a 7 chair/bed unit, Acute patients in ICU and CCU. Through this experience I am able to set priorities and organize a team of Nurses. I am conscientious, a positive person,a hard worker and work well with others. I love to learn and have taken just about every class offered here at Unity. I have earned over 250 CEUs and will continue classes in the future.

The reason I am running for the Board is I am very concerned about the future of our church. I feel I can bring a great perspective because I am a long time member and have been here for all the changes in Ministers. We need a strong Minister who is willing to stay for the long term and makes Unity of Naples the priority. A Minister who will lead us forward, communicate well with the Board, Staff and Congregation. We need to grow our Membership especially Youth Ed. They are our future.

I try to live by Unity Principles every day. My life is better for it. I am a amateur
photographer. I enjoy taking Nature and People Pictures. I enjoy the beach, biking, travel, spending time with my friends, whom I am blessed to have many. I met them all here at Unity. I am a Reiki Master and spent many Monday evenings 2x a month giving this strong healing energy to people.

It would be an honor to serve on The Board of Trustees. I would appreciate your vote.

Thank you for your consideration.
